What a cool place the northern is! It's this eclectic mix of hipster and historic and with the quality of bands that highlight the show posters in the front window. The Northern makes for on excellent after, or after-party party venue for pretty much anything going on in Fernie.

This is the place to be for food, atmosphere and drinks. But it has already been discovered as it is usually very busy. Our meals were more that of a good restaurant than that of a bar. Friendly waitresses. Kind of long and deep inside. A bit historic with brick. Love the place. A bit hard to find in the old part of town...which is not necessarily a bad thing!
