Dark but delicious

I find the decor in here to be really dark (dim lighting, dark furniture etc) but the food is yummy. The fish is fresh and they have a GREAT sushi pizza. Overpriced but worth one visit.

Overrated & overpriced

Sushi & sashimi is excellent, but overall it was not a standout experience to justify price. Would try to other places.

"The fresh fish and creative dishes wake up your taste buds" while the "decor takes you to the Far East" at this long-time Downtown Japanese offering "wide-ranging" choices from sushi to specialties from the "bonus" robata grill; kimono-clad servers who "never rush you" make it a "favourite" for a "lingering meal."

My wife and I went here for a spontaneous date night on Monday and we were quite surprised.

Excellent Fresh Fish But The Portion Are Small For The Price

Menu price is reasonable till you get the order. I keep it simple and order the Sashimi Moriawase for $28.50. The price seem reasonable till you get the order. I was suppose to get seven different variety of fish on got six, missing the BC tuna, plus they only give you two slice of each. The miso soup was okay... more

Kimono-clad servers greet guests at Nami, a traditional restaurant in downtown Toronto. The 20-year-old establishment has modern décor with trad Japanese cuisine. The robata bar allows guests to sit in front of a grill and watch chefs grill seafood, beef, chicken or vegetables made to order. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and has a large menu. Lunch options include teriyaki dishes... more
