A long-running but still effective multimedia show combines film, light, stirring music, and a 36-sq.-m (400-sq.-ft.) scale model of the city and environs to tell the story of several battles that flared here in the 18th century. At 30 minutes, it's a sufficiently engrossing presentation during which only the very young are likely to grow restless. Check in advance to find out when... more

If you haven't already done too many things in Quebec and could listen to the story of the six sieges once more, this is worth seeing. The Musée du Fort is a small museum with a beautiful diorama.I would estimate no more than an hour, less if your timing is good for the diorama show.

This is a 30 minute slide show with a diorama on the military history of Quebec and the skirmishes with the Brits and the US colonies. Well worth doing if your not very familiar with it. They light the diorama and highlight the areas where the events happened. It is cool and does a good job putting the city in perspective. Well worth doing, but keep it for a time when it is raining.

The Great Battles of Quebec City
July 21, 2009

This is a very well presented description of the battles for the city between the English under Gen. Wolfe and the French under Gen. Montcalm. It has a great model of the city and its surroundings with lights to show you what happened and when. It is very educational and entertaining.

Documenting the many battles and sieges, involving at various points the British, French and Americans. The presentation intrigues children and adults alike. Located across the street from the Château Frontenac, this is an essential... more

History and military buffs are sure to enjoy the Fort and all it has to offer. This museum, via a 30-minute light and sound show and a to-scale diorama, showcases the six sieges of Québec in recreating the military history of the city. Appropriately, the complex, which was erected in 1840 and modified in 1898, is located adjacent to the Place d'Armes. Both English and French narrations are... more
