I used to frequent the Mr.Lube on McPhillips Street every time my vehicle required servicing. The pricing was far, the service was quick, the staff were friendly and I was generally satisfied. However, after my last two visits, I have decided I will no longer have Mr. Lube service any of my vehicles. The vehicle I usually have serviced at Mr. Lube is a 2000 Audi A6. I choose their synthetic oil package as well as the OEM oil filter. I found recently that the pricing has gone up, and the quality of the service has gone down. The staff there is all new, and they pressure you into purchasing additional products and services that they offer. What struck me as poor service was when my air filter required replacement. They removed my air filter and shown it to me, which looked to be in poor condition. I decided to have them replace it. After leaving their shop, I noticed that there was a rattling sound coming from underneathe my hood. I pulled over, took a look and found that the air intake assembly was poorly placed back together and the original air filter was still present. I returned to the shop the next day with my findings and spoke to their manager. The manager attempted to blame the situation on me, and that they would never put an old filter back when I paid for a new one. After a lengthy argument, they did replace the old filter with a new one as I originally paid for, but to my disgust they never did apologize for the inconvience. I will gladly take my vehicle elsewhere, and I highly recommend you do the same. There are plenty of quick service shops available throughout Winnipeg, bring your hard earned money and your business to a shop that is honest and fair.
