Two weeks ago, my car engine started smoking. I was on Lakeshore Dr and immediately pulled into a Petro Can station as it was the first one I saw. The elderly gentleman, hurried over to me, not to assist, but to inform me that I could NOT stop here as he wasn't able to help. I pulled out of Petro Can and noticed the Mr Gas on Lakeshore. Even though it was a self-serve, I desperately needed to get my car off the road. A young man, Cory, was attending the station that evening, and promptly propped the hood and then, extensively examined UNDER the car. I live in Mattawa, and was considering 'trying' to make it home, when Cory strongly advised against it ... turns out, he saved my car. I contacted my husband in Mattawa who drove to the station to pick me up and I arranged CAA to tow my car to our mechanic in Mattawa. For those three hours at the Mr Gas station on Lakeshore, Cory made me feel safe, comfortable and entertained while I waited for my rides. I've travelled ALL over North America and I have NEVER experienced the polite, respectful and competent service that Cory assisted me with that night. This young man is a TRUE credit to your organization and SHOULD be recognized for that. I will ONLY gas up at Mr Gas, (and encouraged my family and friends to do so as well,) wether in North Bay, Mattawa, or where ever I am and a Mr Gas is in the area. I am a 51 year old social worker who works in a women and children's crisis shelter, and I recognize a GOOD guy when I see one. Cory IS one of the good ones.
