This restaurant has been around for more than 50 years. The interior is styled like an old-fashioned diner, with shiny stools and metallic-trimmed booths. Each booth, including the tiny one for two that I was seated at, sported a large shelf filled with condiments.

I really wanted to like this place, with its highly-reviewed American food and cute signature steer. Unfortunately, the service was sub-par. First of all, service was slow and aloof. They were out of the nightly special (Fish & Chips), but we didn't find this out until five minutes after we ordered. Mister steer, sometimes confused with Steerburger, but sadly not in the same league. It's not a bad restaurant, it's just overrated. I like the fact that its a bit of a neighborhood favorite, but they do not make a memorable burger. I wouldn't avoid returning, I just won't make it a destination.
