If it ain't broke don't fix it. For forty years the Mister has been doling out charred, bulbous patties of meaty goodness, known as the much-revered Steer burger. Take it up a notch with bacon and cheese on the Supreme Mr. Steer burger. Que dire de ce classique ! les boulettes sont de forme sphériques et bien cuites, les frites en tire-bouchon et le look authentique à ce qu'il a toujours été depuis que je suis toute petite. Bon pour manger un burger ou en tant que touristes qui veut visiter un des bons restaurants "bruns" de Montréal. Bref, c'est mon avis et je le partage !

This restaurant has been around for more than 50 years. The interior is styled like an old-fashioned diner, with shiny stools and metallic-trimmed booths. Each booth, including the tiny one for two that I was seated at, sported a large shelf filled with condiments.

I really wanted to like this place, with its highly-reviewed American food and cute signature steer. Unfortunately, the service was sub-par. First of all, service was slow and aloof. They were out of the nightly special (Fish & Chips), but we didn't find this out until five minutes after we ordered. Then, we had to practically hunt down the server to re-order and remind her that we were still... plus

Mister steer, sometimes confused with Steerburger, but sadly not in the same league. It's not a bad restaurant, it's just overrated. I like the fact that its a bit of a neighborhood favorite, but they do not make a memorable burger. I wouldn't avoid returning, I just won't make it a destination.

Selected as the best hamburger joint in the city, this St. Catherine Street diner has been pleasing fast food palates since many years. The food's the thing here, with ambiance and decor a distant second. The house specialty is the, Supreme Mr. Steer burger with bacon and cheese, and the, Suzie Q curly fries. Other dishes include a grilled chicken breast sandwich.
