Preregistration For September, 2012

Preregistration for New Students for the 2012/2013 music school year will begin on Monday, June 11, 2012, and will run until Saturday, June 16. Drop by the school between 2:00pm and 9:00pm during the week in order to assure that you have your preferred lesson day and time for September. We look forward to taking care of your music school needs!

SUMMER LESSONS:

The school will be closed from July 1 to July 8.

We will reopen for summer music lessons on Monday, July 9. Lessons will be available in all disciplines. Please feel free to call the school office and arrange lessons during the summer months.

WHO ARE WE?

The Mississauga Academy of Music is an intimate, energetic, exciting music school with RCM accredited or university trained instructors. Many of our teachers have extensive professional performance experience. All of our teachers have advanced knowledge and training on how to motivate students, and how to adapt their teaching styles for the individual student's need.

Our school holds Christmas Recitals and an annual Christmas Concert for the benefit of St. Mary's food-bank. This affords our intermediate and advanced students the opportunity to perform before a live audience, and gives them the good feeling of knowing that they are directly helping people in our community who are less fortunate than they are. Admission to the Christmas Concert is a non-perishable food item or a cash donation.

We also hold an end-of-the-year Recital for all the students in our school be they beginner, intermediate or advanced. This gives our students the opportunity to build confidence through live performance experience. Admission is free of charge. This gives our families and our community the chance to attend, and see these wonderful young musicians perform.

This year we started “Glee Club!” Our Glee Club's first public performance will be at our Christmas Concert, so please come out and help support these young singers, and the St. Mary's Food Bank!

We are here to help satisfy your music education needs. That would include having piano and guitar stock available for sale. We have a wide variety of sheet music, lessons books and music books, along with smaller items like guitar strings, picks, metronomes and recorders for sale.
