Mercatto is an always bustling lunch spot with two locations - the best of which is at 15 Toronto St. The menu is very Terroni-esque with pizza, panini, pasta and salads. There's also Italian wine, beer and soda.

March 23, 2013Mercatto is right around the corner from my house, so I eat there quite a bit. The food is great (wine is a bit pricey) but the reason I keep going back is the staff! Lovely decor - portions and value could be better

Atmosphere is very beautiful - I loved seeing the chalkboard walls, the candles on the tables, and the overall decor of the restaurant. Great place for lunch in the financial district

Great simple Italian food, the pizza looked good and the portions were adequate. I had the Pesce on the otherhand and loved the bass that accompanied the orzo salad. Would definitely return there again.
They have a full wine list as well as cocktails even though we declined to drink.

Menu prices are misleading....they charge A LOT extra for salads. Manager didn't seem to care, didn't comp. (the one at the bay street location) It's too bad, cause the food and atmosphere are great.
