This hotel has an excellent downtown location, situated around the corner from the green spaces of the Place du Canada and the Square Dorchester, as well as the sea-green spires of the Cathedral Marie-Reine Du Monde. Recently remodeled - recently disappointed
February 03, 2012This recently remodeled hotel will not have to worry if I will return even with a great corporate rate. I had issues with my door not locking and management seemed minimally concerned. On the upside, this is a large hotel that has a wonderfully decorated lobby. I was not impressed. I'll be at the Hilton next trip.

way above the marriott standars I would say .
exterior : Older hotel, has charm .
Rooms : renovated and rather spacious rooms , bathroom was on the smaller side nevertheless clean and new .
free wifi for a day and then you had ro re-register .
walking distance to St. Cathrine and entertainment district , connected to subway ....

Stayed here a couple of years ago and agreed with many reviews - a decent hotel with good staff but looking just a little tired and chintzy.
However, on arrival the very friendly receptionist offered a refurbished room on the 22nd floor and tremendous it was too. Any chintziness had been well and truly banished leaving a large smart room,...
