My wife received a text while driving home from Rob, the GM of Maple Ridge Volkswagen, stating he is putting a lien against our Jetta the next day and will have a bailiff seize the car. Alarmed, my wife immediately called Rob the GM back to see what was going on? He said this was over an unpaid bill 4 months ago. He claimed to have called, but we never received any calls from them. Our brakes were resurfaced and in days the noise was back, and we were going to have them fix the proper ones. Now months later we forgot about the bill and when my wife called Rob back, he began to unleash on my wife with extremely rude and aggressive behavior. She even told him, yes I forgot about it, I will pay it off next week. Rob didn't seem to grasp this, and continued to verbally abuse my wife. He continued with the texting after the call ended. I was shocked when my wife told be about the events and how she was treated. Sounds like this could have all been avoided by asking a few questions to see what the reasons were for the delay on paying the $200.00 invoice, yup...$200.00.
A call was then placed to the dealership and we spoke to Lorne, who tried to help as best he could, but clearly Rob is the one running the dealership and we got the feeling nobody speaks for Rob or steps out of line.
My wife went to their facebook page to write a review and told Rob she was writing the review to see if this would make him consider apologizing, but he continued with more accusations and threats of legal action. I find it odd a company would welcome reviews on their facebook page and base your experience from 1 to 5, but only allow the positive reviews to be listed. The review section from their page was quickly taken off. So much for integrity. That's ok, this is why you are reading this now because these can't be erased simply because they don't like the feed back.
What I don't understand is how in this day and a business can treat their customers in such a way you would do everything in your power with social media to alarm hundreds or even thousands of people of your unpleasant experience? Especially the General Manager, my god, I can only imagine how he deals with other customers and staff? Rate my employer is a good start though if you work there.
It is the following day and still no apology or call from Rob or the dealership. We have people we know that deal with customer/client relations via social media, so we are no strangers to the power of the internet. I just don't think Rob at Maple Ridge Volkswagen gets it?
Couldn't diagnose low air pressure in tires!!! When I took my vehicle in for specific work, they walked around the vehicle with a clip board when I parked it, rating wear on wipers, etc etc and tried to sell parts/work etc. Not recommended.
Very high pressure sales staff and watch out for their additional dealer markup BS. I paid $1500 extra for my car without even realizing it. Very unhappy with the sales dept.
