Excellent Service to Start a New Year
Despite calling the morning prior to the start of 2011 to obtain a remedy for a hot water heater that failed completely the previous evening, Mainline's courteous staff members managed our request with such excellent service that our hot water problem was solved that afternoon and we had a full supply of hot water to assist us with hosting a party to welcome the New Year.
Competent but...
Just by way of background until a couple of years ago, one of my kid's friend's dads was our hgo-to plumber. A sole proprietor he would come for whatever repairs we'd called him for and then say "well since I'm charging you for an hour and that took 20 minutes, anything else I can do?" Then the family moved away from PG and I neeeded to go elsewhere for plumbing. My one experience with Mainline was quite the opposite. A clogged toilet was fixed efficiently in about 15 minutes, the bill for quickly written out for the full hour and the repairman rushed off to the next place. I resent this kind of billing because, I bet, it ends up that the company can and does charge two households for what is, in fact, the same hour. Even if not, if travel time is factored in, the lack of personal touch really showed.
