Old World Charm in 2014
November 24, 2014In Toronto to go to the theatre. Wanted somewhere close so did not have to worry about transportation. We were able to park right across the street at a reasonable rate. The hotel gives you a coupon to apply towards drinks and dinner at the Madison Pub. Only part of the pub is open during the day. Went upstairs and on a Saturday they had 1/2 price appetizers. Terrible hotel with a scam call
November 08, 2014The building was so old and staff was not friendly at all. One night, we got a phone call asking for my credit card info. The person on the phone pretended to be a hotel manager and wanted to have my credit card number. She explained the Hotel system got damaged and needed to re-boot all customer info. Great B&B close to Bloor and Casa Loma
November 06, 2014Lovely King Suite in a Victorian mansion. It had an updated bathroom ---no bathtub though. This did not matter as I never take baths in public facilities--including hot tubs! Lovely quaint room with gas fireplace. On Nov 1, the gas had not been turned on so we were disappointed. We were nicely compensated however. The coupons given us for the Madison Bar was well worth it. Great English style... more
