a wonderful bistro
I am not an usual customer of this bistro but the impression of it is so good and deep. Last week, I had a very lovely night with my friend here. the salad may be more delicious than any other location I have tried. the variety of the food is very interesting.

So much more than a bar

I walked by this place many times thinking it was just a bar. It's not and the food is incredible.
It was truly difficult to choose what to eat as there were so many things on the menu I wanted to order. What we did order was innovative, expertly prepared, and very well presented.
The service was top notch as well.
The only thing to note is that the have a very impressive wine...

July 18, 2007Had a great experience there ceasar salad was good and I had the Capalini Natasha angel hair pasta tossed with Bay of Fundy smoked salmon Bermuda onion and dill in a vodka rose sauce topped with a petite fillet of roast salmon and it was simply great.

This restaurant charges big restaurant prices but unfortunately did not provide the culinary attention that such prices warrant.
I ordered the filet, my date the halibut. It seems that as her dish took longer to took (and arrived hot), mine was sitting and waiting, as it arrived cold. A 40 dollar steak should never arrive cold. Ever.

One of Ottawa's finer restaurants. The few kinks I noticed the first time I went have since then been ironed out in an admirable way. The food is fabulous and the service attentive, yet subtle. To the person who thinks Luxe is in comptetion with the Empire Grill, both establishments (as well as the Blus Cactus) are owned by the same people... Trying to be more that what they are. The food is okay, but we had to send the steak back numerous times. Initially, it was overcooked, and then they gave us a very poorly cut steak.
