Local foods, Seasonal fare
Definitely a hidden gem. A great place to sample locally grown foods and pick up organic veggies and meat.

Local Source Market is a great spot where you can buy quality, healthy food at a place where the priority is for everything to be as local as possible. Great sandwiches!

A little hidden gem in the North End of Halifax. I like to grab my organic meat & veg here, their homemade bread is great too! A good little lunch spot if you're in the area as well.

March 26, 2012Although not strictly speaking a restaurant, this spot offers great take away items: wraps sandwiches, quiches and similar delights. I particularly like their oat cakes, possibly the best in town. Sean and company are going out of their way to promote and sell food stuffs that are produced locally, well within the 100 mile limit.
