The owner is super nice. We didn't get to try the food there because his wife was sick but we ended up hanging out for 2 hours taking over almost his entire restaurant but he was nice about it and made sure that we had drinks, water, and everything else. He even gave us his little story about the restaurant and asked us to sign his calendar.
The food's decent and honestly I just like a local...

Japarribean? What's that? Definitely a new one.
Parking is quite awful here, as both Fraser and Kingsway fill up. A short walk is in order.
The name of the place comes from the giant (real) stuffed lion, on a shelf near the ceiling. This can be seen from the outside as well, if one looks up. The lion (his name is Junior) once lived in a zoo in Ontario.

16 year-old family owned restaurant on a fun block in Vancouver. Owner Ken is from the Bahamas and his wife is from Japan. There are a couple dishes that are 'Japaribbean'.
