Smiply nice!

One of my favourite spots to hang out with friends in the beaches area. Food is good, ambiance is great, nice music and pleasant crowd. In summer time, this place is packed! I definitely recommend it!

Great building and location but suspect the owners are not good to work for as high staff turn-over and unhappy employees. the food is below average. Such a shame as the building is so cool and have a great patio, will never return.

They have a $5.25 burger and fries special, live music on Saturdays, no cover charge, great pub fare, 2 sweet patios facing the people walking Queen St, cold beer...and the best staff!

In the former home of the Bank of Toronto, erected in 1950, the Lion on the Beach serves up pub fare on the Queen East strip. A known host for many musicians during the Beaches International Jazz Festival, July is the busiest time of the year for the Lion. The beachside attraction is also known for its two large patios that can accommodate up to 100 people during summer festivities.
