Started by Sylvia Leibner in 1962 in a 250 square foot shop on the "wrong side of" Queen Mary Rd in Montreal. The Linen Chest has grown into one of the largest independent Bed and Bath store chains in Canada and certainly the most prestigious.

What's wrong with the linen chest?
January 13, 2011It’s unfortunate. The store is engagingly displayed and the quality and quantity of items is incredible. The level of customer service, however, is not nearly as extraordinary. I ordered a duvet cover at the end of December 2010. The customer service representative was confident that I would receive it at the end of the week, as it is ‘in the chain’. Why are so many linen chest employees incompetent and rude?
December 13, 2010I have been forced to go there to bring back Hunter-Douglas blinds for repair. Out of three visits, I experienced the rudest service ever! Plus, they make everyone stand in line, even to bring in a blind. What's the matter with these people? There are much better places where they treat you with respect and don't cost as much

Linen chest online orders ! Forget it !
November 30, 2010Terrible customer service after order online. There's better stores with better deals ! Don't bother ordering from Linen Chest on "sale" items.
