Managed by Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Toronto's "King Eddy" Hotel continues to be a landmark property for special occasions and a nod to the more genteel grand hotels of the past. Oil paintings along the walls in Victoria's Restaurant provide an elegant backdrop to chef Daniel Schick's classic lunches and afternoon tea. The lobby's Consort Bar overlooking bustling King Street East, once home... more

Opened in 1903, the “King Eddie” offers plush Edwardian-style rooms, well-appointed with high speed Internet access and 24-hour room service. Victoria's Restaurant is popular with the power-breakfast crowd and serves high tea later in the afternoon. Facilities include a 1,500-square-foot gym, "Le Fitness," and the Nouvelle Maria Spa. Three ballrooms, 12 conference rooms, and a business center... more

Its suite was the locale for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's famous bed-in for peace (and later re-enacted for documentary "I Met The Walrus"). Today, Edwardian architecture and ornate furnishings serve as a backdrop for executive business meetings and weddings, while tourists use the place as a central point to get... more

“Pretty Ugly- Unkempt hotel, rude staff”
May 23, 2013

Rude staff, acted like it was an inconvenience to check us in / out.
Didn't help with luggage.
Air conditioner was loud in room.
We were woken up by a screaming baby, thin walls.
Beautifully decorated hotel, but old and unkempt.

“Hotel in downward spiral”

The amenities, hallways, carpets are being left to neglect.
This is being covered by the condescending and arrogant staff.
