THere were 4 of us, we were told they were out of a tapa we ordered but it took forever for the waiter to return. He served the bread we had ordered towards the end of the meal and brought our check just as we finished eating. We stayed for the music and ordered drinks. We were overcharged by $70, for a bottle of wine when we had ordered a glass, for an extra dessert and the two appetizers they were out of! Don't waste your time, Vancouver is full of great places to eat.
Visit the Latin Quarter on a Friday or Saturday night and be prepared for a great time. They have superb latin fusion dishes that include lamb, veal, chicken and various seafood. They have live music and a lively atmosphere. The portion size was a bit small for my liking but it was absolutely delicious. The decor was nice and the layout of the restaurant was done well. There is a dance floor for those who would to tango to the sounds of the live band. This is a restaurant that is set up for great food and a lot of fun. When driving through the Commercial Drive area of Vancouver, be sure to check out the Latin Quarter.
Latin Quarter is a real neighbourhood restaurant, featuring live music almost every night! Popular for a classy candlelit sit down, and offers excellent fruit-filled sangria, and hot and cold tapas. Some of the most well-liked dishes include garlic-grilled Portobello, quesadillas stuffed with mango and brie, and the spicy chorizo! If your seating with just 2 people, be prepared to eat lots... more
Neat place for fun and great food, enjoy with a group of friends
Local hang-out where life revolves around the kitchen, bar and small stage. Tapas include Camembert-and-papaya quesadillas, and Spanish rice with prawns, snapper, scallops and red pepper. Seafood, paella and rabbit stew, too.
