sympa

This may become our new goto place for french bistro food in QC, replacing cafe du monde. The service was very friendly and the food was great. We've been to Le Lapin Sauté  at various times of  year, and it's always a treat.  In the Summer, there are outdoor tables on the patio, and it's great fun to go for lunch, sip a glass of wine and watch the world go by.  TIP: Order the "Picnic for Two" : Homemade rabbit rillettes, beet and apple salad, grilled garlic, herb focaccia, croûtons with tapenade and La Sauvaginecheese, smoked salmon,... more

Located in the heart of the Quartier Petit Champlain, this lovely country-style restaurant specializes in tasty rabbit dishes (rabbit is "lapin" in French); though, gratin savoyard and rosemary chicken offer fine alternatives. If you've got something a little lighter in mind, try delicious sun-dried tomato pizza or even a warm baguette. Take note: the best time to dine here is on a warm summer... more
