Play In prolonged dry conditions, fairly easy with wide fairways. Right in Vancouver & easy to get to, close to public transportation
If you're a beginner to mid level golfer looking for a decent golf course that's not too challenging this is it. Centrally located that's not too demanding and flat, you can play a round that's neither too expensive nor far off.
Not sure where some golfers played before but there are no flat holes on this sloped course. With doglegs the course design brings risk reward shots into play. Green acres is flat btw. This is well maintained for a public course . Don't let the city turn this into low income housing/park.
Langara Golf Course was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1926 and later redesigned by Thomas McBroom, a Canadian architect. Since it is on the slope, the shaped, tree lined golf links are easier to walk and are challenging to all golf players. A great course for amateur golfers for their practice facilities.
