Our waitress informed us that Laloux hired a new chief chef several months ago who focused more on simple yet modern French cuisine using local ingredients. Fantastic place....the food was amazing. The only "knock" on this joint was that the service was a little too relaxed. My wife ordered her steak to be cooked Medium rare...came out Very rare...we sent it back, but it could have been MR in Canada...who knows. All in all great place. Romantic, and special for the foodie crowd.
My wife and I went to Laloux for our wedding anniversary. The staff was very friendly, very courteous, very efficient and very knowledgeable. We had some wine before ordering, which was excellent. Bravo à ce restaurant. Je suis allé chez vous le soir de la St-Valentin (menu dégustation) avec ma femme et ce fut un repas excellent (un régal) dans tous les sens du mot. Je suis une néo accro à Laloux... j'ai récidivé depuis l'arrivée du néo chef, M. St-Pierre et du néo pâtissier, M. Demers. Quel duo!
