Beginners to intermediate fun course
For beginners and intermediates who just wanna have fun, take in this course. Starts out with a 400 yard challenge for these golfers, then a couple of 300 yarders, followed by a lot of fun par 3's. There's a fair bit of rough to lose your balls in, so you'll have some of the experiences that experts have on the big courses. All in all, well maintained city course, and a great few hours of golf for the recreational golfer.
3 good holes to start, then short game practice
Here is a bit of an odd course. Starts out with a 400 yard par 4, 2 more par 4's, then the rest are par 3's. Good course if you're a beginner, and even intermediate golfers can find some fun here and practice for short game. Well kept for a city course, though a beginner can expect to lose a few balls in the bushes and thick rough.
A perfect blend
This course is a City of Calgary run course, and it's one of my favourites. It has good variety, the first hole being 400yd I believe, and it decreases until the 5th or so when the holes are in the 160yd range. So it's good for those that have only been golfing a few years. Not a lot of water either, if any.
