Drop in if you want to kill some time. White man's history of the area. Lots of mining info. Bland. Safe.
Suggestion: consider more information on the area's First Nations.
A wall dedicated to the women brought to this area to marry the miners on Bride a Ships from England --

As newer residents of Ladysmith we took in the museum on First Ave. not expecting much, since the community was formed around coal mining and the timber industry. What we found was a very well set-up representation of Ladysmith life back in 1903-20. Very nice presentation of artifacts, local residents educated in the museum contents available for a tour.
