From OpenTable: Still together after all these years; the unique trio of Executive Chef/Proprietor Gennaro Iorio, Sommelier/Proprietor Giulio Miceli and Maitre D’/Proprietor Iqbal Grewal, are celebrating their 10 year anniversary as owners of one of Vancouver’s powerhouse restaurants. Executive Chef Gennaro Iorio’s seasonal, timeless dishes are complimented by candle light and crisp linen.... more
La Terrazza is superb! The restaurant takes on a modern feel of northern and central Italian cuisine by serving up some fantastic new ideas while giving traditional Italian hospitality. The decor is tastefully done with French influence and the seating layout is spacious yet cozy. The establishment is very clean as are the washrooms. But of course, you come here for the dinner. The calamari was definitely a new twist on the normal Meditarranean style calamari. Simple yet delicious. The carpaccio was some of the best in Vancouver. The lamb was bursting with flavour, the meat being so tender and moist. The bison was the best bison you can have anywhere west of Winnipeg, which of course must be ordered medium rare. The flavours of the dinners are not complicated by different tastes that bombard you from opposite directions. The flavours all come in unison and remain on your palette until subtley moving on. This is truly a fantastic dinner experience. The wine list is extensive. The service is quick and attentive, and never at one point we were disappointed. This is a newer style Italian restaurant that must be visited to be truly appreciated.
Enjoy modern Northern Italian cooking at this romantic Yaletown spot boasting a formidable Italian wine list.

This Yaletown room lives up to its name: in warm weather, French doors open onto a terrace, pulling the alfresco light indoors. Chef Gennaro Iorio’s menu is inventive, modern Northern Italian. Simple yet inspired pastas include the house-made ravioli ($19.88) and chewy little strozzapreti (“priest stranglers”) Bolognese ($18.88). However, the kitchen’s creativity shines even brighter with the... more
Unsung hero material, La Terrazza has the best Italian food in Vancouver - better than Cioppino's and less expensive - Love, love, love the strozzapretti (sp) , tomatoes and moz salad, eggplant appy - really excellent food, great service, beautiful room. They need to do something about outside lighting and decor, it looks closed all the time even when open.
Excellant food, but very expensive wine list. My hubby & I dined with another couple on Oct 22, 2011. This was our first time at La Terrazza.
My husband ordered the bolognese pasta - the sauce was one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. My seafood pasta was also delicious; full of shrimp, clams & huge Salt Spring Isle mussels. The caesar salad was very nicely done too. To cap...

Very pleasant surprise. I have no idea how I missed this restaurant all these years. I was looking for someplace different and found online. The food was excellent. The spaghetti with bison meatballs and truffle oil was what pasta in a restaurant should be. Would never replicate at home. We split everything -two appetizers, a pasta dish and the osso bucco. Wonderful evening. Thank you!
Reasonable food, limited menu. Recommend pork loin. Steak special was good as well. Avoid the garlic chicken. Service was a bit slow but staff were pleasant.
one of a kind dining experience, all the food is fresh, wine selection is incredible, intimate atmosphere, and the mushroom & asparagus w/ angel hair is to die for.
"This restaurant's setting resembles a traditional ristorante, complete with Romanesque columns and large windows. Diners here can see how fine Italian cuisine is prepared. Outside, there's a garden patio with wrought-iron furniture and a fountain. Appetizers include everything from seasonal raw oysters (CAD13.88 per half dozen) to an imaginative Oven-Baked Figs stuffed with gorgonzola,... more
