Restaurant La Binerie Mont Royal est spécialisé en cuisine maison québécoise (fèves au lard, ragoût ... Bref, c'est mon avis et je le partage !

26 juillet 2014I stopped into this spot because I was told they had the best beans in the world and because the food was cheap. I got into a bit of a friendly spat with the owner/chef about whether beans in Montreal could possibly compare with beans from the American South. I ordered the beans, toast, and sausages and I LOVED it.... plus

Go there for the beans and the Montreal ambiance
25 mai 2014Most of the food is so-so, to be honest, the beans are where it's at! They are just the way they should be, and you will get a taste of old-style working class (French) Montreal food. I love going there, the staff are always super nice and it's a pleasant and cheap experience not to be missed.

This is one of a rare breed of establishments where one can find true Canadian food, or more accurately Quebec food. Haute cuisine it isn't, but well prepared it certainly is.
