Lots of variety, acceptable quality

This place has been around for a looooong time. Quality is acceptable. Was renovated a few years ago so it doesn't look rustic anymore (kinda miss that). Try the rice & spare ribs. I think it's $3 a plate. Not bad at all, especially for the starving student.

I go to Kim Moon Bakery for breakfast when Toronto's feeling like Hong Kong - polluted, muggy, and crowded. I guess it's the weather that gives me a craving for congee and racing papers. And while there is probably better congee in the GTA, there are few options so convenient and reassuring as Kim Moon.Walking along Dundas, I stop by the newspaper vendor on the insurance building's stoop.... more

Kim Moon Bakery is now closed; given my last two experiences, small wonder.
The last reviewer detailed the changes to the restaurant which strongly indicate that ownership/management had changed. Whatever the reason, service and food quality deteriorated so badly that Kim Moon went from beingt my only place for dim sum to a "no go zone".
