Probably the only mall in North America dedicated to kids, the Kids Market on Granville Island features a Lilliputian entryway; toy, craft, and book stores; play areas; and services for the younger set, including a "fun hairdresser."
This past weekend, I was in Granville Island. Now, I've been there before, but haven't really explored it. Since it was rainy and I wanted my boys to have fun, I took them to Kid's market.
Tons of great stores!

This Granville Island building is filled with kid-focused shops -- mostly toys of varying fun and educational levels, but also souvenirs, clothes, and snacks. Most things in all the shops are at kid-height, emphasizing that the stores are for them. The shops I wandered through had friendly, patient staff (possibly out of necessity :-) ).
Located close to the Granville Island Public Market, the Kids' Market has shops with overpriced toys, clothes, and other cute things to make a child smile. We went into a few of the shops and in one store, I saw there had these small Peanuts figures for $6, cute! There were Lego sets and games too.
My favourite was the Dino ride that a little one can sit in and enjoy a ride if you put coins...

A trip to Granville Island isn't complete without a visit to this children's shopping space. It boasts two full floors of uncommon retail shops, a family entertainment center and a food court.
