Enjoy the summer on our beautiful patio. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinners.
the atmosphere is quite nice, it has been rated one of the top "date" spots for a number of years, yet their menu might disappoint depending on the day and what you expect.
This restaurant has great food and it tastes home made. It is a cozy restaurant and has a great patio.
Twentysomethings and Little Italy locals jam this "inviting" cafe for "delicious" nannettes (naan bread with pizza-esque toppings), scrolls (crêpe-style stuffed rotis) and other Eclectic eats backed by a sizable drink menu including a "wide beer" selection; "very reasonable prices" and a "cosy atmosphere" make it a popular date place.
This has been a gem for years, serving sandwiches stuffed with portobello mushrooms, havarti, and roasted red peppers, and five "scrolls" -- phyllo pastries filled with delights like artichoke hearts, eggplant, and hummus. The "nannettes" (pizzas) are baked nan breads topped with such ingredients as smoked salmon, capers, and red onions. The ambience recalls a French bistro. In summer, the... more
In my neverending quest to find the best places in Toronto for brunch, I decided to try out Kalendar, a restaurant in Little Italy. Lush and intimate, the interior design features dark oak, antique chandeliers and mirrors.Looking for the perfect Valentine's Day restaurant? I'd definitely recommend this place. If you can get in, that is. The reason it could be a challenge to get a table on Feb.... more
This truly is a special place. The food is very unique and flavorful! We HIGHLY recommend the pizza... Thin crust with perfect amount of crunch. We have been coming here on the regular for dinner and often get the tortellini with it as well. Great chill atmosphere. A most go to spot for dinner in little Italy. A landmark... more
Great location. Cute terrace with green plants and original lighting. However, abysmal service: absolutely no one came over to check up on our food, to bring us water (!), to bring the missing salt and pepper to the table. What we believed to be the owner kept creeping around in silence, cold and uninviting. Best part: complete disregard for food allergies. We specifically stated that one of us... more
Have been working in the area and decided to meet up with two girlfriend post-work for cocktails and eats. Have always walked by here but never thought to stop in. My pals (who live in the area) told me that not only did the patio make for good people watching but they had some of the best sangria in the city. I was sold.
The patio is huge and does offer up some great views of College St,...

A College Street favourite, Kalendar is a busy café by day and a cozy boîte by night. The eclectic menu features naan-bread-based dishes, pastas, pizzas and “scrolls” filled with meat and vegetables. Lunch, dinner daily; weekend brunch. Casual. Entrees: $8.95-$17.95. MC, V.
With deep red walls and candlelit tables, this coffee house-cum-restaurant is the ultimate in intimate dining. Or, if dining alone, you can sit near the wall of windows and watch the crowds saunter past through Little Italy. For a light meal, dig into a Scroll Sandwich, a flaky roti wrap stuffed with your choice of spicy meat, chicken or vegetables. If you have heartier fare in mind, savor the... more
This has become one of the most charming little restaurants in Toronto. Lavishly simple in style, it's become the place to hangout, eat and have coffee with friends in Little Italy. A truly fabulous little find, which would also make a great movie location.
