It's been a long time since I've had dinner at Kaizen and I don't understand why I don't eat there more often. We had a meal last night after a 1-2 year break and it was great. I'd forgotten how good they are and how enjoyable the atmosphere is.
Anyway, we had their Chef's menu which was quite spectacular. Pricey... but spectacular.

Its way overpriced. The sushi wasn't fresh and the portions are incredibly small. If you wanna impress someone who doesn't know sushi, sure this might impress them. But to the sushi informed this place will disappoint you.
I went there yesterday, the 2nd of August, it was horrible. I was looking forward to such a nice evening and great food, but the service was awful, our waitress hated us. We paid 300 dollars for the amount we ordered, and they didn't even say bye, or good night or thank you or Anything. It was us all the time saying thank you and have a good night. I've been told by so many that this place has... more
Impressive wait staff that counseled, was keenly aware of our needs and desires, and who even surprised us. The waitress and her helpers surpassed all expectations to become one of the better wait staffs of the city in my eyes. The sashimi was delightful! By far one of the best slicing I've experienced which allowed the full range of flavours and textures to blossom. Highly recommend this... more

This is an appropriately named place where customers can shut their eyes and dream of foreign lands amid the aroma of Japanese/Asian cuisine, pampering service and a joyful décor. It is very upscale and definitely pricey, but the dishes, from made-to-order Maki rolls and Nigiri and Sashimi to Fresh Caspian Caviar, are definitely worth the price of admission. Some might feel that it is... more
This self-proclaimed "adventurous" sushi bar really has it all from an elegantly designed dining room draped in soft fabrics and lit with gold to abundant sushi offerings, jazz and a sake lounge. The food is Japanese with a twist: foie gras tempura, sushi as tapas, and Russian caviar. Live jazz and free roses offered to female patrons Sunday through Tuesday.
