Being in the Jasper National Park is good for my soul. I don't know how else to put it. When I am stressed to my limits, or I'm in a hard place in life, coming out to Jasper for an afternoon or a weekend is just incredible. Skiing up at Marmot Basin, drinking wine by the fire in the Fairmont JPL, hiking Maligne Canyon, walking out at Lake Edith Cavell, popping into cute shops and galleries... more

What a gorgeous place to stay in / drive through! Got lucky and saw some wildlife incl, bears, mountain goats, caribou. Glacier lake is breathtakingly beautiful.

Small building, but the folks inside were very nice.
What I found comical was just how friendly and outgoing the Parks employee was. I visited to purchase an annual parks pass, and the attendant couldn't be kinder, offering me countless free maps, locations, advice and possibilities for reducing the price with receipts for day passes.
