Near the foot of Place Jacques Cartier, a passage leads into a tree-shaded garden court in the back of a stone building dating from 1812. A pleasant hour or two can be spent listening to live jazz every afternoon or evening. Food takes second place, but the kitchen does well with its pizzas and crepes; the latter can be filled with either sweet or savory fillings (including lobster). There's a... more
This restaurant, located off the main promenade in Old Montreal, draws a large tourist crowd. The interior space is quite stunning: four sides of the restaurant have walls but theres no roof. They have big umbrellas for bad weather but this night the weather is good and the sky is visible. On a Friday at 8:30 pm theres a line-up that moves quickly. I am seated facing the nights... more
Great ambiance, good food at reasonable price. In the heart of Old Montreal.
Some of the best soups of the day in town. Whenever I go, I have to try the soup, even if I'm just getting dessert. Great selection of crepes, even if you bring picky eaters here, they end up happy.
Not the best in Montreal but still one of the good ones. It has a big menu and you have lots of choices. Very popular for there band playing, this stop has a very outstanding atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody. The cooking technic are very basic but still very good to the taste. If you love and enjoy a nice weekends at the old port with your friends, well this is the place... more

Fortunately you won’t find that whiny kid from the Simpson’s here or any patronage to the historically infamous British Naval Officer of the same name. The resto’s moniker explicitly enlightens future patron’s as to what the central focus of the venue is - Nelson’s garden of course. Though Nelson’s garden pales in comparison to anything Eden could have offered, the delicious crepes (both sweet... more
