Leur terrasse est vraiment extraordinaire !
Nous avions de la visite des états-unis et sommes allés pour le lunch un samedi nuageux... nous étions installés dans les jardins arrières et quelle joie de voir les parasols géants et les chaufferettes - nous vons pu terminer notre repas sans problème. Nous avons tous très bien mangé. Pour ma part j'ai dégusté une crêpe oeuf jambon fromage et c'était très bon. Mon mari a mangé une crêpe forestière garnie de trois sortes de champignons fromage et une bonne sauce.... il a adoré. Ma fille a mangé une salade santé et bu une bonne sangria aux melons... (voir photos).
Le seul bémol c'est la gérante qui a eu un problème d'attitude.... nous étions un groupe de 19 et voulions être ensemble.... elle avait qu'à ajouté une table et n'a jamais voulu nous laissé faire prétexant l'ergonomie....... pas fort!!!!!!!

Superbe terrasse
L'endroit par excellence pour déguster des crêpes. La terrasse arrière est superbe. Il y a souvent des groupes pour la musique d'ambiance (jazz, blues, classique).

In the summer, the outdoor dining options that line Place Jacques Cartier are tempting but touristy. Le Jardin Nelson has a people-watching porch adjacent to the plaza, but you're better off tucking into its large tree-shaded garden court, which sits behind a stone building dating from 1812. I don't know how to describe the food here... It was FANTASTIC. Went here on my 30th birthday in April, and I could not of had a better dinner anywhere. I wanted to savor each and every bite it was so delicious. Our whole group felt the same way and we each had something different. My meal was the salmon lasagna, you won't regret trying this! Jardin Nelson came up as one of the recommended places for brunch on our trip to Montreal. The place itself is very beautiful, the ambiance is lovely and the Jazz playing in the background makes it a perfect weekend brunch setting.
The downside - both the dishes that we ordered were bland. We were warned that the food is not what people go o Jardin Nelson for. The service also was very poor....

Jardin Nelson was a place I visited last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a long line up the weekend that I went but there was so much to see and do that, I had no problem to kill time. Once I was seated, there was a live jazz band that wasnt overbearing and they really set the tone for the evening. I got myself red wine and a regular ceasar with eggplant parmesean which was awesome.... more
