Over ten years going to Interlude Skin Care & Massage
I've received treatments from the owner for more than 10 years. Never had a bad experience, she has always tried to accommodate me on short notice. She is very professional and has provided excellent quality
services.
Interlude Skin Care & Massage - A TERRIBLE experience!
Interlude Skin Care & Massage was TERRIBLE!!!!
My friends and I planned a spa day for our group a month in advance for Interlude Skin Care & Massage. We were assured that we would have the following treatments and that the lady (owner) would have enough staff in place to handle our group of six.
DAY PACKAGE... $170.00
Advanced facial, pedicure, manicure, paraffin treatment, full body massage, eyebrow arching and lunch.
Other than having a massage therapist for the massages, the owner decided to perform the rest of the treatments herself:
- The instruments were not cleaned between clients. One instrument was found on top of their fridge (rusted) and used on us
- The sheets on one of the beds were dirty
- None of the treatments were done in completion
- Some people got foot massages, while others did not
- Only one coat of nail polish was given when two coats were promised
- She would start your facial and leave you there for half an hour without telling you what was going on - meanwhile she was working on the other five people
- One person was left in a chair for an hour and twenty minutes
- All of our lunches were wrong and cold - not to mention we had to eat in a dirty waiting room with our Styrofoam containers in our laps. We had the choice of water, diet coke or sprite to drink
- We are sure she reuses her paraffin wax, as she kept our used portion in a separate bag than the garbage
- She was very sharp with us and sometime rude
Overall, it was the opposite of a relaxing experience. The only reason I would give Interlude Skin Care & Massage 1/5. is because the massage was okay (but it could use some improvement).
