When J. P. Challet, a popular and highly talented chef about town, landed at this neighborhood bistro with partner Jennifer Decorte, the news was welcome: This strip of Harbord Street needed just such a spot. Truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had in Toronto, or anywhere. It is a shame they will soon be relocating to Yorkville - hopefully it will stay true to its food and ambience (and value).
We could never plan far enough ahead to get a reservation until now. Four of us shared a lobster bisque that was classic, but modernized by the large, lemon-grass [?] scented shrimp and topped with a milk/cream foam that really kept it light.
