Cool Lounge
went to Hyde Lounge for a friend's bday. It was a private party so everyone there was friends of friends. It's a nice place for a small intimate gathering. It would be better if it was bigger and if there was an actual dance floor. The bottle service girl was super hot! good place to socialize, maybe not so much for dancing
Awesome night!
Intimate atmosphere and the waitresses are very friendly. Great mixture of house and top 40 music. Bottles are standard pricing but the crowd is fun on a Friday and Saturday night.
Cool club good drinks
I visited Hyde Lounge for the first time last weekend and I thought it was an excellent venue--the bars were easily accessible and the club was packed! The DJ was awesome.
Word to the wise--Hyde is tucked in an alley between Wellington and King (north/south) and Spadina and Draper (east/west).
Also, don't get confused with the long lineup down the stairs--it's for coat check not the washroom!

Hyde is a lounge located down an alley between King and Wellington. In its past life it was the Betty Ford Clinic (the bar, not the actual clinic).

It's not the destination, it's the journey right? Right, if it's in an inconspicuous alleyway south of the mini dealership on King. Svelte suburbanites come out and play to Top 40 in the dance pit. Patio is an extension of the club. It is also where you exit, should you be able to wiggle your way among nicotine inducing patrons. Ladies: please leave the bouffant do and sequined dresses at home.

This place is ok...not my style so I am going to keep my comments as subjective as possible to be fair.First thing to comment on is the location...judging from it's namesake, Hyde is meant to be a "secluded bar"; I haven't been to such a hidden place since Devil's Martini!
