The location of this swish, though somewhat spare, contemporary hotel is unrivaled, especially if you have business in buzzing centre-ville. Accoutrements of the 99 earth-tone rooms run to glass walls; cosmopolitan, dark-wood furnishings; and refined erotic artwork—it's like house-sitting for your successful art-dealer aunt while she jets off to Hong Kong. Goose-down duvets and plush bathrobes... more

Natural light, dark wood, glass and sleek lines. Snug but comfy rooms with all the amenities and stop-you-in-your-tracks views of the cityscape. Unbelievably peaceful in the midst of downtown chaos. 101 rooms with goose down duvets and Egyptian cotton linens. How very convenient! Laurie Raphaël, the hottest restaurant in town, is right downstairs.

Chic perfection

This place is a fabulous little gem in Montreal. The rooms are chic and perfectly minimalistic. I love the detail of the full glass wall in our bathroom that made the room seem much more ample. The staff here was so pleasant and helpful. The front desk helped us pick the best night spots and shopping spots. The location is... more

We stayed in a Deluxe room - King (with bath), which has views on the West side; if you're not particular about the bath, then a regular room with a rain shower and... more

Chic hotel, convenient location
May 11, 2012

I stayed three nights at Le Germain. The hotel is a converted office building and they have done a good job in making the most of the building's bones. Rooms are large with nice windows and high ceilings. Decor is "chic boutique," in other words minimalist.. Bed was very comfortable. Room service and restaurant offerings in the hotel are just... more

A boutique hotel as exciting as Montreal itself! Le Germain Montreal is just steps away from the shopping of Rue Sainte-Catherine, the galleries and museums of Rue Sherbrooke, the McGill University Campus, and Montreal's most prestigious business area. Every room and suite is designed to resemble a loft, with an abundance of natural light, panoramic views of the city, and luxury appointments... more
