The Horseshoe Tavern (known as The Horseshoe or The 'Shoe to Toronto locals) is a concert venue located at 370 Queen Street West (northeast corner of Queen at Spadina) in downtown Toronto, and has been in operation since 1947. This place has AMAZING concert (You can often see really great up and coming bands and it's not too expensive). The place itself is a little dark and grubby but it adds to the atmosphere. Good size for shows!
I love this place! They have GREAT concerts and the venure is a good size. They crowd is always good and the booze is good. It's a little grungey but it is a classic. Come here for as many shows as you can, they ahve the best bands!
This "Queen Street landmark" has "been around forever and with good reason", as its "live indie music" showcases bands eager to work the stage where "rock history" has been made by bigger-name local and global acts; the back-room performance space is "dark" and "rough around the edges", while the narrow front tavern hosts an "eclectic" cast of locals who shoot pool and "catch a buzz" courtesy... more

Since 1947, this much-loved honky-tonk has played a crucial role in Toronto's music community. The Stones had a secret gig here in 1997, and the likes of Los Lobos, Wilco, and local heroes Blue Rodeo... more
I was here for a medical convention, and we just showed up for a random concert. We love Rockabilly! The bar was great, nice people, wonderful music/musicians. If I have to come back to Vancouver this is the place.
Total dive bar with a super casual atmosphere. The place gets pretty packed at night when there's bands playing. They also have an A&W take-out window towards the back. It's pretty smart - you input your order on a touch screen and you collect your order from the adjacent pick up window. The patio is also an excellent spot to people watch on queen West.
A typical dive bar. The bar tender was abrupt. The atmosphere was very dingy. Shabby place
One of the city's original live music venues and where Canadian singing legend Stompin Tom got his first break, this tavern is still the place to see the bands that put the word 'road' in roadhouse. From cowboy to punk, rock 'n' roll to grunge, the musical back room has heard it all. The sound system at Horseshoe Tavern is high decibel and, Tuesday nights, local radio station-The Edge hosts a... more
Since 1947, the Horseshoe has been entertaining Toronto's thirst for live music with a roster of musicians as varied as Arlo Guthrie, the Ramones, the Cramps, the Police, Johnny Lang, 10,000 Maniacs, Billy Bragg, and Soul Coughing. Well known for keeping up with the times, the performance schedule has morphed over the years, from county and rockabilly, to folk and reggae, to punk and metal. A... more
