We purchased a home through Homexx in 2009 under the impression given by the salesperson that it was going to be a great experience and that if there were any problems the company was really great about fixing them. This has not been the case.
We have had minor and major problems with our new home. Some the minor problems have taken up to 4 different people on 4 different occasions (when they showed up, many times they didn't) to have the issue corrected not to mention the many emails it took. (keep in mind one or more problems were found every month during the first year) The major problems are just as bad. We have even had to go as far as being told by their head office to put in a claim with the New Home Owners Warranty Program because no one at head office was willing to acknowledge our problem. (After the Warraty Programs inspection, they had no choice but to acknowledge and correct the problem.)
Their maintenance person tries to fix problems but usually makes them worse.
One of the worst parts on dealing with them is the fact that they are good at ignoring or not responding to us. They are not a company who takes responsibility for their poor quality workmanship by the trades people they hire.
I would never recommend this company based on poor quality workmanship and poor communication from head office. But in all fairness the site superentandant was amazing!
They built an excellent house, but started to cut corners during the process in 1998. The finishing was not as good as the show home. They felt that the weeping tile was not required around the whole house. The lakeside of the house started to grow moss. I tried contacting them repeatedly. Homexx has been a very unprofessional company to deal with. I would never recommend them. We have had nothing but problems with the quality of the workmanship. Each problem has taken many emails and usually more than one person to fix the problem. Many issues took many visits. We had at least 1-5 problems every month for the first year.
