Best doorman EVER!
The doorman here is amazing. He's a 5+ times voted best doorman in the city - almost worth going in for but not quite.
Everyone knows Holt's is posh and chiche and way above most people's pocket books. What you might not know is that they have a fabulous mani/ped salon upstairs that is reasonably priced!
This is not a store, it's a clique.
Holt Renfrew on Bloor is in a class of their own--NO CLASS. Their sales people stick their noses up at you and make you feel inferior if you look too young, too old, too simple, too colourful, etc...
I spend a lot of money and have lived in many cities in Canada, but I have never seen any store that treats people in as undignified a manner as the way Holts sales reps treat people who don't look like they belong in this posh store.
The funny thing, is of all the posh stores in all of Canada, the dt Holts is in the worst position to be burning customers because of all the competition around them.
Don't waste you're time in this store. I promise you, they're not offering anything that you can't live without. If you want to spend your money, spend it in places where all customers are treated with dignity.

National embarrassment. I thought the Bloor location would be better than Sherway, but based on my expectation and the fact that it's Bloor Street, this location is almost worse. Almost.
Handbag section is on the small side and the selection isn't great. They have mall brands like Michael Kors - why is this even at Holt Renfrew, when you can buy at the mall?? - and won't have stuff like...

I have to say, this place is amazing in customer service. Every Time I go here I am met with such friendly people whose eager to serve you or answer any questions. Such an amazing company.. I will be definitely be coming back again and again. J'adore!

Where dreams are made of......and broken in the same day. An institution on Bloor St, this store always draws me in. The beautiful pink facade/signage stands out on the bleak street. From valet parking (and remember when there was a dedicated doorman?!) this place not so silently screams richness.
