Better than the competition
I don't know exactly what they do here, but seems they do it right. This coffee does for me like no other.
Kitchy coffee shop
Is that the right word? This is a real bohemian type place, so if you don't fit the bill you may feel left out. I know, nobody should feel left out, right? But here you might.
hippies galore!
this is a coffee shop that a lot of hippies hang out, which is a GOOD thing. you know they make good tea and coffee here.

I think its a really nice place to meet up with friends and talk over a coffee, tea, etc. They have a patio, which is great to use on a warm night. I ordered a pot of berry herbal tea, which was under $3. I thought that was a descent price. My friend got a hot chocolate that looked good. It came in a big mug with cream on... more

I want to love this place, but...
January 31, 2008I live in Kensington and frequent Higher Ground a fair bit. Its got a great reputation and many good things going for it: its open late (11pm or midnight), lots of seating, good atmosphere... But there are a few things that totally irritate me about the place:
