Three floors with a huge patio open 365 days a year with a lively atmosphere, 24 beers on tap and a reasonably priced menu with lot's of great items.
Established in 1980
Opened in 1980 by Kiwi ex-pat Martin Mcskimming, Hemingway's has become a Yorkville institution by providing great food and drink at great value for 31 years. I
Certainly one of Yorkville's most popular destinations. Hemingway's features a large heated patio that's great for looking down on the goings-on along Cumberland Street. You'll find Australian and basic “bar cuisineâ€, in short a good place for a few drinks after work or skipping-off during work, the high vantage point will let you spot the ... more
Hemingways is has over 28 years of proud heritage in prestigious Yorkville village. Enjoy over 20 types of draft beer on our rooftop patio, misted in the summer, and heated in the winter. Hemingways boast 3 bars on four floors for you dining enjoyment. We are open every night for diner until 2am and lunches Monday to Friday starting at 11am. Or join us for brunch on Sat, Sun, and holidays.
They have one of the best patios in the city! Love the food too, very affordable and huge drink selection. Gets very busy, especially during dinner and on sunny days.
A Yorkville staple, it can get rocking on the weekends (upstairs), but is also great for appetizers after work. Try the sweet potato fries, but maybe not the deep-fried shrimp. Reasonably priced for Yorkville
This place has a great patio and decent food. The prices are reasonable for Yorkville and it's always busy. Great place in the summer.
Billed as a patch of New Zealand in Yorkville, this "always-busy" "standby" is among the "most affordable" in the nabe, welcoming casual crowds who partake in "people-watching" on the year-round rooftop patio; "a huge variety of draft beers" makes it a "fine option for watching the game."
Laid back, easy going attitude reigns at Yorkville's dive. Its mainstay is its rooftop patio home to lots o' beer, sticky floors, plastic patio chairs. With no room to move around the bar, mingle your way around big buck business crowd and down to earth celebs without the pretension. Colin Farrell sightings have been known. In the winter, warm up in dim lighting and what looks like 80s cabin... more
Hemingway's rooftop patio (heated in the winter, and cool misted in the summer) is a popular Yorkville spot to meet for drinks after work. The restaurant downstairs also offers upscale bar fair at decent prices and generous portions.
Friendly staff & great location in the heart of Yorkville. Reasonably priced for the location and a wide range of beers on tap. Food isn't bad either. Highly recommended & always buzzing.
My boyfriend and I came by here today to just sit in the patio and have some espresso (which is pretty much the only thing in Yorkville we could afford)
It probably seems silly to just focus on espresso in what is a sports bar type place, but it was just delicious! Very sweet with a prominent woody taste. I don't think I've ever had an espresso with as many flavours going on. I'd recommend any... more
WOWWWWWW! this place gets busy like jack the bear! A nice location in Yorkville with a rooftop patio
Make sure to get early to secure a patio spot in the summer but if you don't like busy places this is not for you. The servers are great and friendly and the food is not bad at all.
Hemingways has established itself as the famous hot spot and rooftop patio to enjoy drinks and good company any night of the week. It is a conscious effort on the part of the owners to bring a little bit of New Zealand to Toronto. Hemingways is the place where you'll find Hollywood's elite gathered while in town. The multi-level establishment houses three bars serving up a selection of beers... more
Tucked away in the heart of Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood is this double-decker, roof-top patio (heated in winter and misted in summer). The popular patio and bar is a great place to meet for a night on the town or a drink after work with friends.
