“Excellent bargain
April 07, 2012Helm's Inn is in a great location - right behind the Royal BC Museum, and across the street from Beacon Hill Park. The price was so reasonable that I had no great expectations going in, but the stay was great! My room was larger than I expected, as it included a kitchenette and lounge area. The furnishings were nice, and it looked as if the room had been upgraded recently. The staff were nice... more

The Helm's inn is actually two or three seperate buildings. I don't recall which one we stayed in (It was next to the main building) but it was definately a upgrade since we paid for a double and got a 1BR suite. They provided storage for our bikes which we rode the goose with and did some touring of he beautiful Beacon Hill park across the street.

“Great Value in Downtown Victoria
April 04, 2012Located two blocks from Inner Harbor, this hotel was affordable with professional and accommodating service. Has a bit of 80's vibe, and the decor is a little out of style, but the rooms were clean an very comfortable. We had unexpected overnight guests (in the Murphy bed) who were graciously accommodated as well. Overall a very pleasant experience. Will definitely book again until I can afford... more

The Helm's Inn is in the perfect location. We are right downtown Victoria with all its conveniences, yet beautiful Beacon Hill Park is just steps away. The Royal BC Museum and IMAX are in our backyard and we are only 2 blocks from the inner harbour. Fabulous restaurants and activities are just a short walk away. Family owned for over 30 years, our staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.... more
