A little east of the main drag of 10th Street NW, this Kensington spot is an original, and one of the best cafes in town. Counter-service sandwiches, coffee, and decadent baked goods all served in a homey general store environment, Heartland feeds the soul at the same time as the belly.

October 31, 2007I like the laid back atmosphere and vibe of the Heartland Cafe in Bridgeland. There's also a cute little floral/gift shop right beside it with great gift ideas.
