An Irish pub crammed nightly from the bar to the wraparound deck, Heart and Crown's principal attraction is live music, usually rousing Celtic tunes joined in with infectious enthusiasm by patrons who seem to know every word. Lots of English, Irish, and Canadian brews are on tap, with Harp and Guinness prominent. Expect soccer -- sorry, football -- on the tube.

Heart and Crown is my favourite place to meet up with friends for a fun night. Whether I want to sit and chat over drinks or go dancing, Heart and Crown is an excellent choice. Every time I've been there there's been a live band that plays. I do however suggest going early if you want a table because it fills up fast! If you haven't been before, I highly recommend it!

Great place to have a few beers and pub food. Wish they had a non-smoking area on the patio. It's hard to enjoy your food with smoker everywhere!

The warmth of the Irish spirit (and spirits) flows through this roomy Irish pub. Have a nip of Bushmills whiskey or a pint of Guinness. It's hard to choose where to enjoy your beverage: at the glossy hardwood bar, in the Snug Pub near the big screen TV, in the cobblestone courtyard or on the outdoor patio. For Irish ex-pats, many of the big Gaelic football and hurling matches are shown on... more

The place Ottawans head to when they are in need of the tender touch of the Emerald Isle, the cozy Heart and Crown is one of the city's top pubs. In the warmer months, their cobblestone courtyard is often crowded with a steady mix of locals and tourists. In the winter, especially, there are few better ways to warm your bones than by enjoying such traditional Irish specialties as homemade... more
