Our weekend was a dream, a cozy English manor house, the idyllic island setting, meals to die for, and service from another era. The lawns and gardens that run to the sea are accented by artwork from the island famous crafts community and it was fun just to wander about. I hear that they have some concerts during summer weekends but it was nicely quiet during our stay.

Spent a lovely weekend at Hastings House in early Sept. 2011. The grounds (including an original sculpture garden) were beautifully manicured with an abundance of flowers & fresh herbs in bloom. Our room was comfortable and cozy. The restaurant, featuring Chef Marcel and an expansive wine list are a real treat not to be missed!

The resort has lost its elegance and the service is absolutely terrible! The front desk women is extremely rude.
