In the far NE of Calgary, here is a well groomed, tight 9. It's fun if you are an expert golfer, a challenge if you are an intermediate, and if you are a beginner, a frustrating day.
If you're not a member, it's kinda tough to get a tee-time here. They call it "one tough 9", but I didn't think they were talking about getting a tee-time! It is a bit of a tough course though with very narrow fairways. Beginners should stay away as they will destroy any confidence they have. Even for intermediates a few holes can be rather unnerving. Expert golfers will find it quite fun ... target practice.
They advertise this course as "one tough nine" and they're right! It's really challenging! Lots of hills, water and strategic sand. Tough to get a tee time from what I've found, because it's semi-private so members get precedence. Not a bad idea to look into a membership though, you won't get tired of playing here.
Well laid out, nice clubhouse, great staff - sometimes difficult to get a booking here. Worth the drive out though
A very nice course ,lots of challenges, a good time we had a good lunch there, and enjoyed our 18 holes of golf. It is easy to drive there and the people are friendly and helpful. there Pro shop had lots of good deals
Make sure you leave yourself lots of time when you golf at Harvest Hills. It's in my community, but I am so tired of the 3+ hour rounds of golf for 9 holes I'm done playing there, and Bob the owner isn't very professional, as noted in another "complaint" review. Nine-hole golf tracks wedged between the winding streets of new suburbs are rarely great tests of the sport, but this one is an exception to that rule. There are 68 bunkers, and water comes into play on seven of the nine holes.
