Inspired by the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s, Harlem celebrates the joy of Toronto’s cultural diversity and the art of entertaining. It is a rebirth of creativity in Food, Art, Music, and Cocktails

Great food, Great Music, Great Times

I went to Harlem 1920 last weekend and had a great time. The food was great and music to match. I recommend Harlem 1920 to anyone that likes to have a good time

The cinnamon French toast is totally delicious!

I totally LOVE the cinnamon French toast at Harlem 1920! I went last week with my grandma and she had the Harlem Benny. She really liked it, even though they put a fun spin on the ingredients...very creative and well done! I would totally go back! :)

Great atmosphere and food!

Harlem 1920's decor is pretty cool and the food is great. I usually go to Harlem 1920 for drinks with my lady friend and the drinks are made to perfection! Cool place!

It is evident that a lot of love has been poured into creating this unique spot that serves soul food of both literal and figurative varieties. Inspired by the Harlem Renaissance, Harlem strives to be not merely a restaurant, but a hub of local black culture. Artwork by local artists, including co-owner Carl Cassell, is on display, and live music (jazz, blues, funk, soul) is a regular feature.

Wow! I can’t say enough positive things about Harlem Restaurant.
This super cool restaurant is situated on Queen Street in a small narrow space however it is comfy and cozy with an eclectic mix of people. We went on a Monday night when they had live jazz. There is a single candle on the table and the lighting is low... more

This was another summerlicious festival restaurant my friend and i visited to try something new. FIrst, yes the service is very slow. There were two servers that night, one of whom seemed a bit lost and the other seemed to be making up for it. They were both very nice, and the speedier of the two was great at recommending... more

Service was absolutely terrible here. Stood by the door for at least 5 minutes before I sat myself.
The service makes for a long meal! They kept forgetting things like our drinks and they had to ask if we had our dessert after we Finished it.
Took forever to get menus and even longer to have someone take our order.... more
