To quote one reviewer: "Burke's hallmark style is superb, well-sourced ingredients; simple, straight-forward style and flavour, flavour, flavour!"
Burke's commitment to local food is evident. He loves doing all his own smoking and curing and demands everything is made from scratch.
By 20, he was a fully certified chef and George Brown alum. Jamie Kennedy was so impressed by Burke's talent...

Went to Hank's last week for an afternoon coffee with a friend and had a very good time. The Staff was incredibly friendly and the food was very good. It was a little dark in the room but otherwise it was a great time.
mmmm went here and had the roasted turkey club! It was so good! The cranberry mayo was my favourite! So delicious and fresh! Definitely coming to take-out from here again!
The soup at hanks might even be better than my mom's!!! Im absolutely in love with it, and the espresso is great too!!! I could eat at Hanks every day of the week, Bouns - they use local ingredients!!!!!

Went in for Eggs Florentine. The fries on the side were yummy, eggs poached well, but the Hollandaise sauce definitely needed more seasoning. Atmosphere was nice, but service was kinda lousy. Waitress forgot to bring my ordered beverage, and our bill wasn't split even though we asked during our order.
Best homemade burgers in toronto. Very clean and relaxing place. The music and atmosphere throws you back in time while enjoying your Burger. The fries are also great! Love it!
Wasn't a huge fan of the espresso, but willing to give it another shot... but I always seem to be catching them when they are closed.
