This is not actually a zoo, it is a sanctuary..much better and different then a zoo, in my personal opinion.
I went on my trip to Haliburton this summer and I had a blast, I did not want to leave the sanctuary. It is a really neat place to learn about wolves and debunk the stereotypes the general society possesses when it comes to these animals. The staff members were friendly and so... more

Go to see the wolves early if you can - awesome

The treetop canopy walk was lovely, and not too strenuous for us middle-aged people. No fear of heights in our group, and honestly with the amount of safety rigging I can't see how anyone could fall.
Even just hiking in to the wooden platforms was fun. And the history of the Reserve and its logging activities was fascinating. I think... more

The Canopy tour is well worth it

We visited here last Fall for the Canopy "Walk in the Clouds". I highly recommend this activity.
We toured the other activities (Wolves) and trails. All was wonderful.
We did not stay here overnight. I looked rather too rustic for me.
