Grossman's has a special place in my heart

don't care about the greasy food, sticky floors, gross washrooms or rowdy crowd - this place is hopping when the music plays - a great hang out for bikers and artists too

Since 1948
Toronto has a long history with the blues, and is often considered to be one of the main northern epicenters of the North American musical genre. Open since 1948, Grossman’s Tavern is one of the city’s longest-running live music venues, and Toronto’s self-described “Home of the Blues.” Rock, folk, roots and jazz acts are also at home here, and the club’s legion of past performers... more

A blues institution in Chinatown since 1948, Grossman's Tavern holds the Toronto record for the longest-running Sunday night jam.

Brilliant local spot with live music

This place has a nice blend of old timer locals and young bloods, head bopping to local musicians during music nights or just chillin with beers on a night out in lovely downtown Toronto. The pub is busting with character and always a good time. I highly recommend it.

Fun, fun, fun

Was there with my husband twice and really enjoyed the music, atmosphere and, yes, the beer and finger food. We invited our son for the 3rd time (a drummer himself) and he also thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Keep up the good work!

With nightly blues and New Orleans-style jazz there’s always a reason to visit this Kensington patio. Patio seats 40.

Grossman’s is the legendary Toronto blues club on Spadina Ave., with alumni that includes Jeff Healey and Danny Marks. As the daily bustle of Chinatown dies down, and the garbage flaps up and down the sidewalk, it begins to feel like you’re on Lonely Street. Is there a more... more
